Week of the Young Child

4/1/2017

The Week of the Young Child is a week that is nationally recognized to highlight the importance of early childhood.  UCD has chosen to adopt the daily themes set by the National Association of the Education of Young Children and do "Take 5" activities based off each theme day.  Every classroom will have activities set up Monday - Friday during the week that are intended for you to stop and "Take 5" minutes with your child to focus on his/her development.  Below are the dates of Week of the Young Child and the themes that are set for each day.  We hope that each of our families builds five extra minutes into your day to focus on your child.  Put down the cell phones, drop the stress at the door, and just take a moment to enjoy the magic of childhood!  Thank you in advance for helping us make the week's activities a success.  Thank you for all that you do each day to work with UCD teachers to help your child achieve their potential and have some fun along the way!
