Oct 26-30 – Halloween Upcoming Events: Meier’s Pumpkin Paradise - Wednesday, October 21 is our field trip to Meier’s Pumpkin Paradise. Please be sure your child is at school no later than 9:30 AM. Since we will be outside all morning, it would be beneficial to make sure that children are dressed warmly (layers are best!) and have both gloves and a hat. We also request that children wear socks and tennis shoes that are okay to get dirty. Don’t forget car/booster seats and $5 for your child to get in! Once at the Pumpkin Patch, children will get to go on a Hayrack Ride, take a few turns on the giant slide, and pick their very own pumpkin! Then we will return to school by 12:30 PM to eat lunch. If any parents are interested in tagging along, please feel free to do so! We would LOVE to share this experience with you! Trick-or-Treating/Halloween Party – Friday, October 30 is a big day at UCD! We go Trick-or-Treating around Washburn Campus in the morning, so please send your child’s costume with them to school. Please be sure that every piece of their costume is properly marked to avoid mix-ups. They will need their Trick-or-Treat bag, as well! Lunch and Naptime will proceed as usual. Our Halloween Party will follow nap. Please see the sign up sheet that will be posted outside of our classroom to see what items are needed for this special event! Motor Development - You may have noticed a few text messages from us regarding Motor Development fun at Washburn. In case you were wondering what this was about, each year UCD works with Washburn students (and professors) to assist in their educational pursuits. This year we were built into the Motor Development syllabus. Several times throughout the semester we will visit the Motor Development class to participate in planned activities. These activities are fun for the children and provide the Washburn students the chance to observe motor development in preschoolers. Student of the Month: Oriana
