A Peek at Our Weeks:
As our summer program starts, parents will need to keep a close eye on our schedule so that you will know what is in store for your child on any given day. Our new summer activities will include:
- Splash day - Splash day will be every Tuesday and Thursday and will require a swimsuit, flip flops/water shoes, sunscreen and towel in a SEPARATE bag. (Please make sure all of your child’s belongings are marked with their name to avoid mix-ups!)
- Wacky Wednesday Activities – Wacky Wednesday activities will take place once a week and will vary from week to work. See “Important Dates” below for a list of June’s WW activities.
- Field Trips – We will be taking 2 field trips over the summer that will require car rides. For these field trips to take place we will need parent volunteers! The field trips we will be taking are to the Topeka Zoo and to the Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center. Without volunteers we will be unable to go, so please consider setting these two days aside and spending the day with us!
- Show-and-Tell - No show-and-tell during the summer!
A Note from Ms. Rachel:
Now that summer weather is in full swing, it’s time to take a look at those extra clothes that we keep here at the school. Many times children have grown over the year and extra clothes no longer fit when the need arises. When possible, please take the time to check the sizes of your child’s clothing to make sure everything still fits, as well as are weather appropriate.
