Toddler Room Developmental Goals
Each day we continue working very hard on some self help skills that are important in the toddler years. We are working on putting on our socks and shoes, pulling up our own pants, and washing our hands. We are also working on getting better at brushing our teeth!! There are several children working on potty skills at different levels. Please talk with your teachers to find out different things you can do with your child at home to aide in developing their self-help skills! Thank you for the excellent participation that we had for Parent/Teacher conferences. It was great to get a chance to sit down and discuss each of your children and common goals. We have had a few viruses that have circulated the toddler room over the last couple of weeks. As a school, we are doing our best to cut down on the spreading of illness. We ar e sanitizing with bleach and lysol, running toys through the dishwasher, laundering the soft area toys, continuously washing hands, and disinfecting handles, gates, trash cans, etc. There are some things that parents can do to help us with cutting down on communicable diseases. First of all, please take the time to wash your child’s hands when you bring them to school in the morning. This helps us keep germs from everyone’s homes from coming into the center. Also, review the exclusion policy and be sure to keep your child home if they are exhibiting symptoms of any communicable disease. Lastly, don’t forget to take your child’s bedding home to be laundered each week! Upcoming Toddler Themes Below is a list of our learning themes:
